Town Board

The Town of Milan is governed by a Town Board consisting of the Supervisor and four Council members. The Supervisor is the presiding officer. The Board adopts resolutions, ordinances and local laws, and approves the annual budget and tax levy. The Council Members are elected to represent their town for a four-year term. The Supervisor is elected for a two-year term.

The Town Board meets monthly on the 3rd Monday at 7:00 PM. This meeting is the formal town board meeting with action taken on legal, monetary and other matters of the town. The public is invited, and encouraged, to attend. To resolve individual matters that need the attention of the town board, it is best to reach out at any time individually with concerns.

02-02-26 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Public Notice the Milan Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on February 16, 2026, at 6:55 p.m. concerning proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2026, entitled, “Local Law Amending Town Code Chapter 183 (Taxation)” pursuant to Article 16 of the N. Y. Town Law.  This Local Law will take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.  Complete copies of the proposed Local Law are available at the Town of Milan Town Clerk’s Office for inspection during regular business hours.  All interested persons and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard on said proposals at the Public Hearing to be held at the Milan Town Hall, 20 Wilcox Circle, Milan, NY.
